1. The show is juried twice to ensure only the best handmade in America fine art and craft merchandise will be available at this event. The Four Season Fine Art and Craft Market has high standards to ensure success among exhibitors and success of the shows. Jury requirements are stated in the rules and regulation documents and application documents, click the links below.
2. There is a one time, yearly jury fee of $15 . If you do one show or all three, all you pay is a one time jury fee. The money goes to paying the panel of juried experts, postage, and office expenses.
3. Affordable Space Fees. The two day Summer and Fall shows start at $225 for a 10x10 space and $275 for a 10x15 space. Electric is just $20 extra per booth. Need a table? We offer 8ft table with one chair rentals for the show for $10.
4. Incentives. See link below for all the information on the cash back incentives we offer. We offer a total of 6 incentives! Apply early to take advantage of most of them.
5. Programs. Under the artist incentive link below is information on how artists can get their ad in the program or be a contender as a featured artist, with article, in the program too. We will have 2 areas in the program devoted to discount artist ads as well. You must apply early to take advantage of this offer.
6. Location: The Carroll County Agricultural Center is well known as a busy place, home to many events on one weekend . On any given weekend people can check out farmers markets, the Carroll County 4-H Fair, concerts, dog shows and more. This facility is very accomidating and easily accessible from Route 32, Route 27, and Route 140 & 795 and within 1 hour radius of Gettysburg, PA, Annapolis, Frederick, Baltimore, D.C. and other major regional cities.
7. Advertising. We advertise heavily to a target marketing audience of local art collectors/shoppers as well as tourists. Our advertising consists of press releases and ads in local and regional newspapers, ads in the Country Register, we use several mailing lists sending out post card invites (now with $1 off coupon incentives), posters/fliers distributed at craft boutiques, art galleries, antique stores, restaurants, Bed and Breakfasts, hotels, Visitor and Welcome Centers in nearby cities, road signs, as well as numerous listings of our event with calender of event websites through radio, newspapers and t.v. stations. Our programs are promotational materials too! We are also an offical sponsor of the Carroll County 4-H Fair, meaning lots of combined advertising to 75,000 - 100,000 to patrons of the 4-H fair alone alone just two weeks prior to the Summer Market and at the same location as the Fair!
8. Purpose. To encourage more appreciation for fine art and crafts, the artists and their items are the main attraction, not games or bands. See the promoters bio, for background info regarding the shows.
Again, the Four Seasons Fine Art and Craft Market is an artist run, juried event. Meaning, the event's primary focus is to accept only original, handcrafted work made by craft artists themselves. The Deadlines for our shows are stated on our applications. If spaces are not filled by the deadline, a $25 late fee will be in effect and only then we will continue to accept applications until spaces are filled. No one will be accepted the week of the Markets.
